2026 Why We Sky Gala

Join us on September 19, from 3–9 PM, for an unforgettable mountaintop experience in support of our mission: to provide outdoor recreation for all.

Ditch the tux and gown for hiking shoes and spectacular mountain views at 8,000 feet. We’ll begin with our summit cocktail reception at the top of the chairlift, followed by dinner and a silent auction in our iconic Aspen Grove.

This is more than a gala—it’s a celebration of community and a commitment to access. Because while the mountains are visible to many, they are not accessible to all.

Your support helps ensure every child and family, regardless of means, can experience the joy, confidence, and connection that comes from skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking.

WHAT IS IT?

  • Why We Sky Gala is a celebration of community and a commitment to reducing barriers to outdoor access.

    Together, we’ll raise crucial funds to sustain and grow Sky Tavern’s year-round programming, all in the name of Sky Tavern’s mission and values.

WHen is it?

  • Saturday, September 19. The event kicks off at 3pm with our Summit Sip — a scenic charlift to the top of the mountain — to gather and share our favorite Sky Tavern stories.

    We’ll then head down to our beautiful aspen grove to reflect on Why We Sky with the Sky Tavern staff and leadership over a special dinner and silent auction.

WHY WE SKY GALA tables and sponsorships are limited, so don’t delay. We highly suggest confirming your participation before July 1.

How does sky tavern utilize my contribution?

Contributions go directly to our programs and operations such as scholarship funds, maintenance and equipment needs to grow and improve our community offerings and keep outdoor access affordable.

I CAN’T ATTEND. CAN I STILL CONTRIBUTE to the mission?
