Lift Maintenance Training Program – Summer 2026

In Summer 2026, Sky Tavern, in partnership with Colorado Mountain College, will offer an intensive three-week training program from August 3rd to 21st. Designed to fast-track students into careers in lift maintenance. This hands-on program prepares participants to enter the ski industry workforce immediately upon completion.

The curriculum leads to a Level 1 Certificate aligned with the National Ski Areas Association Lift Maintenance Resource Guide and its Level 1 Lift Mechanic Guidelines and learning outcomes.

CMC is partnering with ski industry employers who will support the program and consider top-performing students for immediate hire onto their lift maintenance teams.

Program Details for Summer Intensive

  • Cost: 20 CEUs = $2,940 (can be converted to college credit)

  • Textbook & NSAA Assessment = $187

  • Students should plan to arrive August 2nd and leave the afternoon of August 21st

  • Courses will be taught by industry professionals, and employers will be on-site to recruit strong students. Job placement support and counseling will be included with the program.

  • Classes are 8-5 PM each day. Students are free weekends and evenings.

  • Staff and faculty are happy to help advise on fun activities for the non-class times.
